The challenge of this month More than Words Novenber Challenge is to use the inspiration word Future and the creative challenge are stars. So I found this a hard one, because you can approach the word Future in a variety of ways, and then you also have to find a way to let this coexist with stars in your creation. Now I am hoping that you like my take on the More than Words challenge!
Sometimes I wish I had a glass globe which I could look at the future with regard to peace on earth, but I am more curious about my future and my bond with my beloved husband. Would we in the future still love each other as much as we do now, will we still be healthy, will we still experience lots of crazy adventures together or try out new things and travel a lot? Maybe the questions are already writen in the stars? Who knows, the future will teach us!
So therefor I used this comical photo of an old couple having fun, while the woman with an umbrella tries to skate on a skateboard with the help of her husband. And the title "There is nothing like a dream to create the future." fits perfectly to this photo.
Let me tell you how I made this creation and what kind of materials I used to make it;
In my stack I found this amazing comical photo of an old couple which having fun together and on my Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Remnant Rubs-Ons Words I found this good sense: "There is nothing like a dream to create the future", perfect to this funny picture.
I took an A4 white piece of paper, some colors Archival (Paradise Teal, Cactus Flower, Majestic Violet and Jet Black) and Distress Ink (Faded Jeans) which I loved to use with the photography and my title for my artbook page. After I found my colors, I also checked my stamps which I hope to create an awesome background with. Found some stams of Art Stamp "Carabelle" (numbers, sweet eyes, mm strips of Birgit Koopsen and border stamps Azoline), Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous (Bitty Grunge) and AALL & Create stamp (#12). First I put the photo on the A4 paper to determine where it should end before I stamped a background to it with some gorgeous and amazing stamps. Also stamped some stars on a white piece of paper to cut them out and glued them on, also added two dies stamps to the art page. To finish my background I used some Paradise Teal Archival Ink on a stars stencil, also added some black gesso on the edges of my A4 paper and around the photo. In my grey cardboard Art Book (Old Photo album) I create some lines on the borders of the page with some star and scribble stamp. After that I glued my A4 piece of paper on it and finished it of with the cut out stamped stars.
Hope this is an inspiration to you all and usefull to create a project like mine or some other art.
